Our favorite sporty sedan, the Honda Civic, is back for the 2025 model year with exciting changes. The new Civic comes with an optional hybrid powertrain, amazing tech, and an advanced safety suite. Take a look at the features of the 2025 Honda Civic Sedan.
Powertrains and Fuel Economy
The most exciting update in the Honda Civic is the introduction of a hybrid powertrain for the 2025 model. It combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors to make 200 horsepower combined. The hybrid powertrain is optional in the Sport trim and standard in the Sport Touring. It is rated for a whopping 50 mpg in the city and 47 mpg on the highway.
The base Civic has a gas-only powertrain featuring a 2.0-liter four-cylinder and a CVT. The duo makes 150 horsepower and 133 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy is 32 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway, which is still pretty impressive. All models come with Econ, Normal, and Sport modes, while the top-spec Sport Touring Hybrid adds an “Individual” mode that lets you customize your drive.
Seating and Comfort
The 2025 Civic Sedan has a stylish cabin with standard cloth seats and available leather seats in the Sport Touring Hybrid. The LX offers basics like automatic climate control, beverage holders, and 60/40 split-folding rear seats.
Niceties like heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and power-adjustable front seats are available. All models except the base LX have a rear center armrest with cupholders. There’s a one-touch power moonroof in the hybrid trims.
Audio and Connectivity
A 7-inch touchscreen display comes standard in all the trims except the Sport Touring Hybrid, which upgrades to a 9-inch screen. You can sync your smartphone to either screen using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. With Bluetooth, you can play music and take calls directly through the car’s speakers.
The Civic Sedan comes with a four-speaker stereo system, which upgrades to eight speakers in higher trim levels. A 12-speaker Bose sound system is standard in the top-spec Sport Touring trim. To charge your devices, you have two USB ports and an optional wireless charger.
Safety Technology
Every Civic is equipped with the Honda Sensing suite of driver-assistive features. It has technologies like collision mitigation braking, forward collision warning, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. Adaptive high-beam headlights help with night driving, while traffic jam assist eases fatigue when driving in heavy traffic. You can also get a blind spot monitor, a rear cross-traffic monitor, and parking sensors in top trims.
The Honda Civic is a favorite among many. With the addition of a hybrid powertrain, it now caters to eco-conscious drivers as well. Swing by Leskovar Honda in Butte, MT to test-drive the 2025 Civic!
